"Trifolium" [lat.; "three-leaf"]: 1. trefoil (faboideae; bot.). 2. three persons, who are regarded as allied, feeling allied; clover-leaf
(Duden, the dictionary of foreign words).
In the marvellous reverberation spaces of the cimbalom three different characters meet one another in Trifolium. They are loaded with energy, push off each other, pull each other, insist on theirs own and, nevertheless, belong together inseparably. Toward the end they undertake the attempt of a direct connection, which draws a long going out.
