Strahlen. Licht. ("Rays. Light.") transforms the visual impression of the title of a protestant chorale into a musical one. Fragments torn from their context, sometimes already acquiring the characteristics of others, open up from desperate to an increasingly closed situation. From the resulting increase they appear glimmering, now almost fused together, whereupon the piece, which has sporadically picked up old material again, is extinguished. The e-Minor of the song latently takes care of the proceedings.
