Thirty years after my first string quartet "sätze" now my second, neue sätze. Like the former one, which was so much present to me during such a long period of time, it has four very different mouvements, whose sequence was then interrupted by an "interlude" and is now held by two "isole". Apart from that, however, neue sätze goes largely other ways, such as in the quasi-linguistic, motivic more denser syntax, or in a translucent central tonality.

Is I. characterized by contrast in statu nascendi, in II. connect four different solos four different fragile structures in order to merge at the end. Attempts III. to expose a completely different sound world dominated by the pizzicato, IV. revises, only here referring back to the older quartet more concretely, the contrast principle, to end in a remembrance field of central motifs.
