Four different tones, played in varied timbres, configure themselves bit by bit to the figure of a lament bass aiming to the open 4th string. After they have found searching to each other, these four tones flow into a strange-swinging three timed melodic one. Bowed close to the bridge, this penetrates to the ear like from afar. Toward the end the ostinate four tone gesture opens into the sound space, until it disappears in the highest heights, letting behind the sung. Standing dreamily, lost, strangely in the world, Lamento is a piece of recollection, of pausing and of the attempt to discover the potential, the new in the old.
