Since long time I am already engaged with the idea to gain something new out of the old, to develop something own out of strangeness, to refer me also to given material or even to restrict myself largely to it.
From the here used not well-known (German) folk-songs „O du schöner Rosengarten“, „Blaublümelein“ and „Dort drunten im Tale“ I tried to unfold a multiform play rich of perspectives, whereby the objectiveness of the found becomes counter-cross-hatched, attacked, defamiliarized, diversified, ironisized and exaggerated.
Thus “folk-song arrangements” of a more unusual kind arise, because the originals are now changed and refracted, familiar and far at the same time and possibly again experiencable.
